Grundoram
Grundoram or horizontal drilling with the pressing of a protective steel pipe is a technology based on the pressing of steel pipes. Compressed air obtained by a compressor is used as a drive, and the amount of air depends on the type.

Horizontal drilling technology for various needs (telecommunications, pipelines…) represents an advanced method in the field of civil engineering. Horizontal drilling is used for tunnels under all types of roads (highways, regional roads,…), then in populated areas, railways, densely populated urban areas, etc.

The technology finds application in practice on horizontal drilling in incoherent soils (gravel, sand, etc.). It is very suitable for drilling where it is necessary to be close to the protective steel pipe that is being installed and the surrounding soil (railway body, road body, embankments, etc.) in order not to consolidate the soil, which would result in potential damage to the pavement structure, railway line, water permeability at embankment, etc.
In this case, the steel pipe serves as a protective pipe through which the required working pipe is subsequently installed. If it is necessary to provide space for the installation of several working pipes for the same or different media at the same location, this technology can optimize construction works and certainly reduce the costs of execution by installing a larger protective pipe in which it is possible to lay several working pipes.
The strength capacity of the rocket depends on the diameter of the steel tube, while the diameters of the performance range from Ø 50 mm to Ø 4000 mm. The lengths of the execution primarily depend on the diameter of the protective steel pipe and the precision of the execution.
The application of this technology in urban areas allows the use of protective steel columns of smaller lengths, e.g. a protective steel column 3.00 m long (although the standard use of columns is 6.00 m long and more), which results in the preparation of construction pits of smaller dimensions. With this technology, we can achieve a precision of up to 5 ‰. Areas of application are in all utility-infrastructural projects.
